Suunto Regatta Yachting Watch
The beautifully designed Suunto Regatta Yachting Watch has been developed together with some of the top sailors in the world with experience from the Whitbread Around the World Race to the World Championships.
The Regatta is an invaluable tool for timing and navigation for power boaters, dinghy sailors as well as competition yachtsmen.
Regatta’s features include a regular timepiece, chronograph functions, an electronic compass as well as a sailing timer especially designed to meet the timing function requirements before and during a tough race.
With the Regatta user-friendly sailing timer, chronograph watch and digital compass, you will master any race.
The Regatta features a large display with big numerals, electro-luminescent backlight, user-replaceable battery and it is waterproof to 30 m/100 ft.
A Reliable Timekeeper
The sailing timer allows the user to set the time left to start and synchronise the timer with the race committee at any time by a push of a button.
Large numerals and audible warning signals let you concentrate more on manoeuvring your boat in the swarm of the start while the Regatta keeps you informed on upcoming critical moments.
The timer allows the user to choose the time to be counted down to the start from 10 minutes to 1 minute by the minute, depending on what signals are given in that particular race. The user can at any time adjust the countdown timer to the closest full minute: very useful for example when checking the 5-minute signal.
A beep at every minute and every 10 seconds during the last minute alerts the user to the upcoming start. During the last 10 seconds, an audible signal is heard every second. When the countdown is completed, a stopwatch will automatically start running. The range of the stopwatch is 120 hours, i.e. 5 days. The stopwatch stores up to 50 waypoints for one race, which can be viewed after the race.
The basic calendar clock of the Regatta is pre-programmed to the year 2089, has 3 daily alarms and a regular countdown timer. In addition, the Regatta also features dual time.
No matter what sea you’re sailing, Regatta will tell you your home time as well as local time.
Keep the Right Course
The electronic compass is a great tool for any boat. It shows you your bearing and cardinal or half-cardinal point and a North-South arrow. The electronic compass features a bearing tracking function which displays locked bearing, actual bearing and the difference between the two.
The Regatta also allows for declination adjustment and a bubble level indicates a level position to ensure ±3° reading accuracy. The rotating bezel ring with a ratchet at every 5° is especially useful when memorising wind direction before the start of a sailing race.
