The Luminox EVO F-117 Nighthawk Watch Series was developed when the U.S. Air Force requested Luminox to make a watch specific to them.
Many pilots were already wearing the Luminox Navy Seal Series Watches and were using the illuminated second hand to time bombing missions. They appreciated the watches so much they wanted a watch tailor made for use in the cockpit, from here the Luminox EVO F-117 Nighthawk you see before you was born.
Not only bearing the name of the F-117 Nighthawk jet, the Luminox EVO F-117 Nighthawk Watch Series also evokes the stealth look of the jet with a black PVD plated steel case offset by white hands and numerals.
The Luminox EVO F-117 Nighthawk Watch Seriesfeatures Luminox's unique illumination system, Luminox Light Technology (LLT) which utilises self-powered micro gas lights installed into the hands and hour markers making the watch more visible and easier to read in low or no light situations. Luminox Light Technology requires no button pushing and no external light sources to "charge" paint on the dial or hands in order to glow. The best bit? Luminox watches glow 100 times brighter than other luminous watches.
As tough as those who wear it, the Luminox EVO F-117 Nighthawk features highly scratch resistant sapphire glass crystal and a hardwearing black PVD-plated steel case with crown protector and screw-in case back.
